Welcome to the official website of the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Nairobi, Kenya. Apart from being responsible for improvement of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kenya, the High Commission is also responsible for the United Nations office in Nairobi (UNON), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and UN Habitat. We are also accredited to Pakistan’s bilateral relations with Burundi, Eritrea and Somalia. Additionally, the High Commission is responsible for provision of multifaceted consular services to our expatriates and others who wish to avail different consular services. Some of the services (such as issuance of Pakistani Identity Cards and entry visas to Pakistan) are being provided online only. Applicants may avail these services directly through the relevant portals. Other services, however, are being offered at the High Commission. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Land of the Valiant Pakhtuns (abbreviated as KP; Urdu: خیبر پختونخوا‎‎; Pashto: خیبر پښتونخوا‎), is one of the four administrative provinces of Pakistan, located in the north-western region of the country. Previously known as the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) it was renamed in 2010. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shares borders with the Federally Administered Tribal Areas to the west; Gilgit-Baltistan to the northeast; Azad Kashmir, Islamabad and Punjab to the east and southeast.

Punjab

Punjab, is known for its ancient cultural heritage as well as its religious diversity. The lands of Punjab have been home to a number of Sufi Shrines, Hindu Temples and holiest sites of Sikhism. The Indus Valley Civilization once ruled the region. The Gandhara civilization was also quite dominant in the northern region of Punjab at Taxila. Punjab represent a unique mixture of Mughals, Sikhs and Colonial architecture.

Balochistan

Balochistan, the largest of the four provinces of Pakistan, spreads over an area of 347,190 Sq, Kms., forming 43.6 per cent of the total area of Pakistan. It has clustered population and is smallest in proportion as compared to that of other provinces. Its population, according to 1998 census, is xx million, having a low density per square kilometer. Physically, Balochistan is an extensive plateau of rough terrain divided into basins by ranges of sufficient heights and ruggedness. Broadly, Balochistan geographic area can be divided in to four distinct zones: Upper high lands, lower high lands, plains, and deserts.

Gilgit-Baltistan (GB)


Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) is a very sparsely populated high-mountain area in the north of Pakistan. Its natural environment is usually described with superlatives – the longest glaciers outside of the polar region, home of the world’s second highest peak (K2) and four more eight-thousanders. GB is largely a high-mountain desert; geologically, it spreads over three high mountain systems: Himalaya, Karakorum and Hindukush. The society of GB is diverse in terms of language, religion and ethnicity.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir


Azad Jammu and Kashmir is an Administrative region of Pakistan situated in Northern part of the country. The northern part of Azad Jammu and Kashmir encompasses the lower part of the Himalayas, including Jamgarh Peak (15,531 feet [4,734 meters]).
