The birth of a child of Pakistan citizen, occurring in Kenya, may be registered at the High Commission of Pakistan, Nairobi, by the parents within six months of the child’s birth. The following documents (originals as well as a photocopy) are required to be presented at the time of application:
- Duly filled in “S-I” and “Form S”
- Both Parents (father and mother must sign Form “S”) and come in person to register the child
- Three recent photographs (size: 2″x1.5″) with blue/white background.
- Parents’ valid Pakistani Passport, valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), marriage registration certificate and valid local Residence Permit. Kindly note that mother’s CNIC must have husband’s name on it.
- In case of a foreign spouse, an affidavit declaring “No Objection” for registration of his/her child as a Pakistani.
- A copy of child’s birth certificate issued by the concerned local Authority
Payment of Fee:
- The High Commission offers the facility of making consular fees/payments at a POS Terminal installed at the High Commission through bank cards (VISA, MasterCard).
Note:
- Incomplete applications (in any aspect) will not be entertained.
- Payments via Credit Card/cash are not accepted.
- Processing time for applications by post is three weeks after the receipt of the application.
Child not registered within six months of birth:
In-person presence is mandatory along with all the above-mentioned and original identity (CNIC/Passport etc.) documents.Child not registered within one year of birth:
